This is a space for anyone interested in, or working on, government technology and innovation in The Netherlands. Innovative technologies present an enormous opportunity to transform the modern state; this opportunity is called GovTech.

GovTech refers to the application of new technologies and business models - primarily driven by partnerships with startups and scaleups - to improve the design and delivery of public services.

You can learn more about it in PUBLIC’s recently published report, which assesses the maturity of the Dutch GovTech market, and outlines how this rapidly growing sector can be supported in the future.

Who are we?

This space is curated by PUBLIC, Europe’s leading GovTech venture investor and research house, and GovTech NL, headed by two leaders in the Dutch innovation and technology sector.

It’s key contributors and curators are: Johnny Hugill and Joe Cardwell (PUBLIC), and Rogier Klimbie and Danny Frietman (GovTech NL).

What can you expect?

We will be regularly updating this page with blog entries, news stories, articles and updates covering new developments in GovTech in the Netherlands, including hearing from some of its most important voices.

We want to showcase the amazing opportunity for GovTech in the Netherlands by highlighting the incredible individuals, organisations and companies leading the charge towards 21st century tech-enabled public services.
